In this tutorial, we will create a single page that displays information on when the site was updated. We will also add a menu item to the Main Menu called Site Update Info.

I recently updated a client’s site from Drupal 6.17 to 6.20. I wanted to keep track of the dates that I had performed site updates. I created a site.txt file and saved it in the root folder. The text file looks like this:

1. Building Drupal modules isn’t as hard as it sounds. You don’t need to be an advanced PHP programmer or hard-core Drupal dev to create custom modules. In this short tutorial, I will show you how to build your first Drupal module. This tutorial is aimed at web designers and other non-programmers. You do need to have experience in building Drupal websites and knowledge of basic PHP is helpful.

This group is open to anyone and is focussed on web designers and site builders and other non-prgrammers. It helps if you have basic PHP knowledge and you do need experience in building Drupal sites. Sample Business Directory: http://www.fortlangley.com/biz-directory

FortLangley.com requested that we redesign their existing business directory website built with HTML. They wanted to be able to edit the site content and add new listings themselves. They have 100 businesses in their BIA who needed User Accounts and Business Listings. Some non-BIA members also need Business Listings.

I used Acquia Drupal bundle to set up a basic Drupal website. (www.acquia.com) - It consists of Drupal core as well as a group of modules including Views and CCK.

A. Modules used
1. CCK

What version of Drupal is your site using?

A new project I'm working is upgrading www.Fightwriter.com. It has 2500 articles about boxing. The original site was created in Drupal 4.5 and will be upgraded to Drupal 6.

See my blog post at http://www.seascapewebdesign.com/blog/keep-your-website-healthy-and-secu...

At first I didn't know how to determine what version of Drupal the current site is in. It does not have a CHANGELOG.txt file. Or a Drupal version constant like Drupal 5 and 6 has.

It's been one month since I returned from DrupalCon San Francisco. It's time for a Drupal 7 update. What's new in Drupal-land?

1. Drupal 7 Alpha 5 was released May 23rd. Download and test it today!
http://drupal.org/drupal-7.0-alpha5

2. On May 18th, there were 80 critical bugs left to be fixed in Drupal 7. All Critical Bugs must be fixed before Drupal 7 can be released. So following the number of Critical Bugs is like a countdown to Drupal 7 Beta release.
