Hello,
I wanted to share with you something new that I learned today. I got some great ideas from a colleague of mine and I was able to put them into practice immediately.
Beginners’s Guide to Node Export Module
My client asked me to build a new form for their Drupal 6 site and to place it in the staging area. So I created a new webform from scratch and placed it on my DEV site. The site was LIVE but I still used the DEV site to tweak CSS and to test various Drupal things.
After deleting pages and pages of nonsense entries in the comments section, I started investigating anti-spam modules for Drupal. Akismet is one choice but I went with Mollom Free. Created by Dries Buytart, Drupal's creator and founder, Mollom provides robust spam filtering for blog comments, forms and forums. Here's the official description:
Implementing Drupal is a great screencast featuring Angie Byron of Lullabot (Drupal Training) and Geoff Butterfield of George Lucas Educational Foundation. Their talk is a great introduction to What is Drupal? Also covers Drupal implementation and development.
A new Drupal training book is currently being written by the folks at Lullabot. It is due out in Fall 2008. Formerly named Practical Drupal, it is now titled Drupal Jumpstart. It is geared towards Drupal 6. Angie Byron writes, "This how-to/recipe-style book will focus on several common types of Drupal sites and offer step-by-step instructions on how to build them from scratch."
